At a very short age he showed interest in German nationalism, later on in his life hoping to become an artist he moved to Vienna to gain admission in Academy of Fine Arts but was rejected twice. After the devastating turn down, he decided to join the German army in August 1914 in the outbreak of WWI . Years later after Germany’s surrender he remained in the army and in 1918 became part of the Enlighten Commandos, a unit whose purpose was to end with communist and infiltrating political groups in which he was sent to spy one of the political party groups Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (the DAP, or German Workers’ Party) and ended up joining it in 1919 due to the strong nationalism ideals that captivated him. The Nazi Party
The party was a mass movement that ruled Germany from 1933-1945. It was created in 1919 as the worker’s party, the group who promoted German pride and anti-semitism. The party was unhappy with the Treaty of Versailles which ended WWI but required Germany to pay for the reparations. When they reached power in 1933 they were determined to overturn the treaty of Versailles, regain their territories , expand their borders to gain full control of europe , cleanse Germany of communists and purge the nation of racially undesired people such as the Jews. Consequently, they created a series of measures aiming to persecute Germany's Jewish citizens and created a concentration camp in Dachau, Germany to house political prisoners. Then they withdrew from the league of nations, rebuilt German armed forces and started regaining their territories in 1936.

It's really a wonder that I haven't dropped all my ideals, because they seem so absurd and impossible to carry out. Yet I keep them, because in spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.
